Washington High improved its softball record to 10-13 when the Patriots outscored East Hardy, 17-16. The game was Washington’s final outing of the regular season schedule. East Hardy was 14-9 overall after the free-scoring loss.

Just prior to the annual Potomac Valley Conference tournament, Jefferson defeated host Clarke County, 9-0, in a boys tennis match. Jefferson’s wins in the six singles matches came from Devin Forman, Isaac Washington, Kaleb Lochner, Christian Shimer, Drew Polczynski and Noah French. The winning JHS doubles combinations were Forman/Washington, Kochner/French and Shimer/Polczynski.
