Washington slides back

The Washington Patriots (8-7) have slipped up in three of their last four matchups, including tough losses to Musselman (10-1 on April 15), rival Jefferson (6-4 on Thursday) and Wheeling Park (6-5 on Saturday), but head coach Amanda Orkosky believes her team will turn things around.

Washington opened the Mingo Bay Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C., on Tuesday with a 4-3 win over Nordonia, Ohio, and then added to that by topping Bishop Grimes, N.Y., 13-7 on Wednesday, to come away from the southern swing with two wins.
