Indians no problem for Lady Cougars

SHENANDOAH JUNCTION — Jefferson got its 13th volleyball win of the season when it sailed past visiting Berkeley Springs with scores in the three games of 25-7, 25-17 and 25-8.

The Lady Cougars received service points in the first game from Hunter Slivka, Dani Langley, Mallory Jackson and Devan Day.

Kaitlyn Boyd and Ailee Hoffman served well for the Lady Cougars in the second game.

Langley’s serving pushed Jefferson into an immediate lead in the third game. And then Kenzie Chrisman came through with a series of service aces to close out the match.

Day had 14 assists in the match. Boyd was credited with 11 digs and two service aces and Jackson had six kills as the Lady Cougars readied for this week’s Class AAA, Region II, Section 1 tournament.
