Pizza and bikes for little tykes

The Ranson Parks & Recreation Commission and staff would like to thank everyone who attended the pizza party with Santa co-sponsored by Pizza City on Dec. 15. The free event offered children a chance to win one of 10 bikes just by donating food to be given to the Jefferson County Community Ministries and the Jefferson County Council on Aging. A special thank you goes to Ranson Shopping LLC, Re/Max First Realty, Blackford’s Service Center, DA Carpentry, Classic Trade & Pawn, Scott’s Auto Body, Jay’s Automotive, R&L Landscaping and Walker Apartments for the donation of the bikes. Pictured, from left, with the winners of the bikes are President Duke Pierson, Secretary Gene Taylor, Brian Mason, Owner of Classic Trade & Pawn, Commissioner Jimmy Williams, Mayor Dave Hamill, Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, Parks Assistant Kim Spangler and Vice President Scott Coulter.
