BECKLEY (AP) — A Beckley man has admitted to having his girlfriend steal prescription drugs for him.
U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin says 30-year-old Daniel Michael Koehler pleaded guilty in federal court in Beckley to obtaining oxycodone by fraud.
Goodwin says Koehler’s girlfriend was a pharmacy technician. The pair avoided detection by pharmacy security cameras in order to steal the drugs.
Goodwin says Koehler admitted selling some of the oxycodone and using the rest.
Koehler faces up to four years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Sentencing has been set for Dec. 4.
