CHARLESTON (AP) — Union workers at Frontier Communications have ratified a three-year contract with the company.
Frontier and the Communications Workers of America announced the ratification in a news release Friday.
A tentative agreement was reached in early August after more than a year of negotiations.
The new contract will expire in August 2017. It covers about 1,500 employees in 42 West Virginia counties.
Details of the contract haven’t been released.
The previous contract originally was scheduled to expire Aug 2, 2013. It had been extended several times since negotiations began in mid-June 2013.
