WAYNESBURG, Pa. (AP) — A southwestern Pennsylvania man has been ordered to stand trial on charges in the shooting death of a man with whom he had been drinking.
Fifty-two-year-old Randy Flynn Anderson is charged in Greene County with criminal homicide, abuse of a corpse, evidence-tampering and a weapons offense in the June 26 death of 42-year-old Terry Weyrick of Cameron, West Virginia.
The (Washington) Observer-Reporter reports that a witness testified Tuesday that the two had been drinking in Anderson’s home in Aleppo when they began to fight after Weyrick reached across the table and yanked Anderson’s beard.
The witness said Anderson got a rifle and shot the victim. He said he feared for his own life and eventually fled, walking to a friend’s house eight miles away to call police.
