BridgeValley, WVSU sign transfer agreement

CHARLESTON (AP) — BridgeValley Community and Technical College has signed a transfer agreement with West Virginia State University.

Officials say the schools signed an agreement that allows students to get an associate’s degree at BridgeValley and then transfer to West Virginia State University to complete their bachelor’s degree for certain programs.

The associate’s degrees can be in accounting, finance, health care management, management or marketing. The bachelor’s degree would be in applied science or business administration.

Officials say the agreement shows the partnership between the institutions to provide a seamless career pathway for students from an associate’s degree to bachelor’s degree.

BridgeValley Community and Technical College was founded on March 20 after the consolidation of Bridgemont and Kanawha Valley Community and Technical Colleges.
