LEWISBURG (AP) — Limited edition collector baskets commemorating the 2014 State Fair of West Virginia are going on sale next week.
Officials say the 16th edition basket commemorating the 90th Anniversary of the state fair will be for sale beginning Tuesday. They’ll also be available for sale at the fair scheduled for Aug. 8 through Aug. 16.
The Picking Basket is adorned with a commemorative brass tag, a blue village basket weave, a wooden handle and the Blue Ribbon Logo laser etched into the lid.
The cost of the basket is $55. There’s also an $8 shipping fee.
The baskets first began in 1999 with the Cracker Basket and have become a signature part of the state fair keepsakes.
