Nominees sought for West Virginia Farming Heritage Award

LEWISBURG (AP) — Time is running out to submit nominations for the ninth annual Farming Heritage Award.

The deadline is 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Entries must be submitted to the State Fair of West Virginia’s office.

The State Fair and the West Virginia Farm Bureau present the annual award to a family that has maintained the upkeep of their farm through generations, contributed to the community and dedicated time to efficient agriculture production.

This year’s award will be presented Aug. 14 during the State Fair.

Entry applications are available through the State Fair and the West Virginia Farm Bureau.
