BECKLEY (AP) — U.S. Marshals have arrested a man in Beckley in connection with a 14-year-old home invasion case in Pennsylvania.
A news release says 42-year-old Juan Manuel Pagan was arrested Monday by U.S. Marshals. Some of his charges include rape, sexual assault, battery, assault and making terrorist threats.
In July 2012, Pagan was released from Mt. Olive Correctional Facility after serving time on a firearms conviction.
A DNA sample taken prior to his release matched DNA recovered from a victim in the 2000 home invasion. The Philadelphia Special Victims Unit investigated the case.
The victim identified Pagan in a photo lineup. A warrant for Pagan’s arrest was issued May 19. Then the U.S. Marshals took the lead.
Pagan was apprehended without incident and arraigned on fugitive from justice charges.
