WEIRTON (AP) — A Weirton man has pleaded guilty to killing a neighbor who tried to intervene in a domestic dispute.
Media outlets report that 19-year-old Adam Barnhart will spend at least 25 years in prison.
Barnhart pleaded guilty earlier this week in circuit court to second-degree murder and two counts of wanton endangerment. He received a 40-year sentence on the murder charge and five years on each wanton endangerment count.
Prosecutors say Barnhart shot 35-year-old Frank Tulock four times with a handgun in September 2013. Tulock was shot as he tried to intervene in a dispute between Barnhart and his girlfriend. Tulock was pronounced dead at the scene.
