CHARLESTON (AP) — A team of eighth graders from Moorefield Middle School has won the West Virginia History Bowl.
The competition involving 24 teams from schools in 15 counties was held Tuesday at the state Culture Center in Charleston. They had advanced from eight regional tournaments held across the state.
The double-elimination tournament included lightning rounds and team rounds featuring questions about state and county history, culture, geography, government, heritage, sports and tourism.
