Fayette doctor pleads guilty to drug charges

FAYETTEVILLE (AP) — A Fayette County doctor faces up to 35 years in prison after pleading guilty to drug charges.

Dr. Oscar Gosien was accused of giving prescription drugs to female patients in exchange for sexual favors.

Media outlets report that Gosien pleaded guilty Wednesday in Fayette County Circuit Court to three counts of delivery of a controlled substance. In exchange for the plea, 53 other drug-related counts will be dropped.

Sentencing is set for June 30.
