Cedar Grove police chief pleads guilty to assault

FAYETTEVILLE (AP) — Cedar Grove’s police chief has pleaded guilty to assaulting a man in a grocery store parking lot.

Media outlets report that Aaron Roop entered his plea to misdemeanor assault on Wednesday in Fayette County Magistrate Court. Magistrate Leonard Bickford ordered Roop to pay a fine and court costs.
