Andrew McMillan is the newest member of the Rotary Club of Shepherdstown while Arlene Fernandez-Anderson has been welcomed as a new member of the Rotary Club of Charles Town. McMillan’s induction ceremony was part of the club’s March 4 breakfast at the Bavarian Inn.
McMillan has lived in Shepherdstown since 2012, when he became the chief operating officer for Jefferson Distributing Co. in Martinsburg. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned his Ph.D., also in chemistry, from Emory University in 2000. He and his wife, Kakie McMillan, and their three children reside in Cress Creek. The McMillans are active in a number of organizations and charities.
Fernandez-Anderson is the director of clinical support and outreach services at Jefferson Medical Center located in Ranson.
She serves on the board of the Eastern Panhandle Free Clinic and is a member of the West Virginia Promise advisory team and the Jefferson County Schools’ wellness committee.
She also volunteers with Good Shepherd Caregivers and Jefferson County Community Ministries and was part of the 2013 class of Leadership Jefferson.
