Three $1M lottery tickets sold in West Virginia in one week

WHEELING (AP) — West Virginia has another $1 million lottery winner.

Lottery spokesman Randy Burnside tells The Intelligencer and Wheeling News-Register that a ticket sold in the Wheeling area won a $1 million prize in Wednesday’s drawing.

It’s the third $1 million lottery ticket sold in the state within a week.

On Tuesday, retired truck driver Randy Brown of Man claimed a $1 million Mega Millions prize. He bought a ticket that matched five numbers from the Feb. 7 drawing.

Another ticket sold in Beckley matched 5 numbers from the Powerball drawing on Feb. 8.

No one has claimed the tickets sold in Wheeling and Beckley.

The Wheeling ticket was purchased at the Firehouse Marathon gas station on Wheeling Island.
