‘Crawl’ conqueror

Brittany Clark – one of dozens who visited downtown shops and restaurants at this month’s Cupid’s Crawl, Charles Town’s second “Sip&Shop” event – brought along her daughters as she picked up her gift basket last week at the Spirit of Jefferson office. Clark’s name was selected at random from among those turning in Sip&Shop passports with stamps from eight of the 16 businesses taking part on Feb. 9. Merchants contributed more than a dozen prizes valued at $500+, including a massage, fine gifts, rounds of golf at Locust Hill, tickets for an upcoming performance at the Old Opera House, a Spirit subscription and a plethora of gift certificates. Merchants already are planning additional Sip&Shop events for this spring.
