Ooo, baby, baby: Prospective parents as well as brand-new moms and dads are invited to Jefferson Medical Center Saturday for a one-of-a-kind event that’s all about newborns.
Explains Arlene Fernandez-Anderson, the hospital’s director of clinical support and outreach: “The purpose of the Community Baby Shower is to provide a forum for expectant and new families to learn about topics that are important to the health and well-being of new babies.”
Attendees may sign up to win door prizes including chocolates, spa treatments, a Longaberger basket and more. Shower vendors will include representatives from child care centers and other businesses as well as community organizations.
Drs. James Murray, Angela Oglesby and Avinash Purohit and others associated with the hospital also will be on hand to answer questions.
Free chair massages are planned for throughout the event, which happens from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the hospital’s first-floor conference room.
For details, contact Fernandez-Anderson (304-728-1707 or firstname.lastname@example.org).
