ELKINS (AP) — Authorities are investigating a house fire in Elkins that killed two people and injured five others.
Elkins Fire Chief Tom Meador says the fire occurred around 4 a.m. Monday at a two-story wood and masonry house.
Meador didn’t have information about the two fatalities, including their identities and ages. But he says three adults and four children were inside the house at the time of the fire. The adults included the children’s parents and another family member.
Meador says the five injured victims have been taken to West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.
