Jackson Hepner (left) and Nathan Smith were two Washington High School students to participate in this year’s 36th annual Entrepreneurship Summit June 9 to 15 at the Horseshoe Leadership Center in St. George. The Summit, which instructed students in creating, sustaining and leading successful businesses, included a tour of Canaan Valley Institute, a meeting with representatives from the NedPower wind farm and a visit to small businesses in both Thomas and Davis. Turkey Hill Farms teen entrepreneur Wes Davis also spoke about growing a business. The Summit is a partnership effort of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce, Ohio-West Virginia YLA, West Virginia Department of Education, local Schools and Dominion Resources.
