LEESBURG — The Jefferson boys cross country team finished 15th at the well-attended Oatlands Invitational on Saturday. Battlefield High with a 147 team score was the team winner. Chantilly (200) was second, and Jefferson had a team score of 517.
Andrew Milliron was fourth on the individual list of competitors. He was timed in 15:40. Jackson Jacobs was 17th in 16:17. And Rhett Zillinger was 47th in 16:46. Jefferson’s fourth through seventh-place runners were Colin Hayes (189th in 18:05), Dylan Stamper (271st in 18:40), Delmar Hagedorn (303rd in 18:57) and Jonathan Royster (338th in 19:16).
In the girls division, Oakton High won with a team score of 91 and followed by second-place Washington-Lee with a team score of 103. Jefferson had 736.
The Lady Cougars had sophomore Abby Colbert finish third in a field of 410 runners. Her time was 18:57 with the winner finishing in 18:32. Emma Linberg (106th in 21:10), Malika Briggs (171st in 21:54) and Nathalie Walker (203rd in 22:13) were Jefferson’s next three finishers.
