Jay Otto, a research scientist at Montana State University will introduce Positive Community Norms at the Region VIII Adolescent Health Educational Forum at the South Branch Inn in Romney on Oct. 15.
Positive Community Norms is an approach used by the Center for Health and Safety Culture at Montana State to address such issues as substance abuse, child maltreatment and traffic safety. Research developed by Otto involves applying the Positive Community Norms approach to impact community systems to improve health and wellness.
