DEBARY, Fla. — Dumfries/Triangle/Quantico (Virginia) posted a 3-0 shutout win over Charles Town/Ranson in the Senior League Southeast Regional. It was the West Virginia state champion’s first game in the tournament.

In their second game, the locals were stopped, 8-5, by the Tennessee state champions and Charles Town/ Ranson’s 0-2 record eliminated it from further contention.
William Viands, Jonas Myers and Jake Connors all had RBIs as Charles Town/Ranson posted an early 3-0 lead.
Tennessee was trailing, 4-0, when it batted in the fourth. With Viands on the mound for Charles Town/Ranson, the first three Tennessee batters reached safely.
After a rain delay, it was three Charles Town/Ranson errors that opened the scoring door for Tennessee.
When lightning was seen, the umpires halted play again.
Play was resumed.
R.J. Wilson replaced Viands as Charles Town/Ranson’s pitcher. Ray Starnes homered for addtional Tennessee runs. Another pitching change came after Wilson walked the next batter. Ben Rickards replaced Wilson. Two more hits plated more runs … and when Tennessee was finally retired, it had scored eight runs and led, 8-4.
Wilson scored Charles Town/Ranson’s last run.
