CHARLES TOWN — Newly enrolled students in Jefferson County public and private schools will be screened for vision, hearing, speech and language starting Sept. 1.
Screenings will be conducted on kindergarten and preschool students as well as on new enrollees at all grade levels.
Repeat screenings will also be done for students identified as “at risk” through a previous screening.
Children who have not yet reached school age may be included in this screening program at parent request.
