WINCHESTER, Va. — Washington High finished fourth at the 36-hole Bryan Gunter Memorial Golf Tournament held on Aug. 15-16 on two different courses in Frederick County.
Charlottesville High won the 10-school event with a two-day score of 623. James Wood (642) was second and Centreville (650) was third. The Patriots had a team score of 655 and finished ahead of Sherando, Woodgrove, Loudoun Valley, Millbrook, Handley and Skyline.
Brett Loy (Sherando) and Yoojim Kim (Centreville tied for low medalist with scores of 149.
Washington’s best score was the 160 turned in by Dylan Mumaw. Jacob Shuff had a two-round score of 164 and Hunter Hardy carded a two-round total of 166. Ryan Fleming finished at 168 for his 36 holes to be Washington’s fourth scorer.
