Blood donations: Blood donors are needed at Leetown United Methodist Church from 1 to 7 p.m. and Oakland United Methodist church from noon to 6 p.m. Friday. Sign up online at redcrossblood.org.

 

Free tire disposal: The Department of Highways garage on Leetown Road will accept used tires from 8 to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday Ten tires per West Virginia driver’s license will be accepted. For more information, call 304-940-0258.

 

Ghost tour: Charles Town Ghost Tours and Petstyles Grooming Salon are co-sponsoring a ghost tour at 8 p.m. Saturday. The tour will begin at the Jefferson County Courthouse. The cost per person is $12 and 20 percent of all admission fees will be donated to assist the Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County. No reservations are required. Reunion: The 61st family reunion of the descendants of John Jacob Link will be held at St. James Lutheran Church in Uvilla at 1 p.m. Sunday. Attendees are requested to bring a dish to share.

Crab feast: Martinsburg Sunrise Rotary Club will sponsor a crab feast from 5 until 8:30 p.m. Sept. 5 at Whitacre Farm next to the Air National Guard entrance. Yard sale: The Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County is having an indoor yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 7 at the Zion Episcopal Church Parish House in Charles Town. All proceeds will benefit the Animal Welfare Society shelter.

 

Fundraiser: Ebenezer United Methodist Church will host a breakfast fundraiser from 8 to 10 a.m. Sept. 14 at the Neersville Firehouse, located at 11762 Harpers Ferry Road (Route 671). Biscuits and sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, home fried potatoes and pancakes will be offered. A free will offering will be collected.

Dinner: The Woman’s Club of Harpers Ferry will hold a potluck supper at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 20 at Camp Hill Methodist Church in Harpers Ferry. For more information, call 304-535-2241.
