The Shepherdstown Fire Department will be having a one day “Festival” to be held on Friday, July 19 at the fire department located at 8052 Martinsburg Pike in Shepherdstown. They will be having a “Friday Festival” at the fire department in place of the weeklong annual fire department carnival this year.
The festival starts at 5 p.m. on Friday. It will include a baked goods auction at 7:30 p.m., a silent auction, raffles, hog roast, ice cream and other festival foods. A moon bounce and other inflatables and the famous clowns Bubble B and Mr. B will be there during the evening for the children. Bingo will not be played during this festival nor will there be a fireworks display that evening.
The fire department is now soliciting items for the baked goods auction and items for the silent auction. In addition, the Shepherdstown Volunteer Fire Department will be having a Fifty Game Cash Bingo on Saturday, July 20. Doors open at noon and bingo starts at 2 p.m. Cost is $35 to play and that includes a complimentary meal. Forty games at $50, eight games at $100, one game at $250 and one game at $500. Must have 100 players to pay the above prize money.
