Medical fundraiser: The Bolivar United Methodist Church is sponsoring a benefit for Ron Lemon from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Sandwiches, baked goods and a silent auction will be offered. Tryouts: The 12u Summit Point Tsunami Girls Softball Team will be having tryouts for the 2013-2014 season from 9 to 11 a.m. July 27 for a workout session and from 6 to 8 p.m. July 28 for the official tryout. Soccer tryouts: Tryouts for the Fall 2013 Boys Soccer team will be held from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 5 through 8 at Terry Marcus Field. Tryouts are mandatory in order to participate.
