My name is Paul Jackson and I have so many reasons to be proud of the state I live in — West Virginia.
One reason for being proud of living in the state is that 88 years ago — on June 20 — I was born in Millville. I have lived in the state all of my life except for WWII when I was drafted into the Army. Growing up as a boy in Jefferson County there was so much to do, like swimming and fishing in the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers, which I enjoyed.
One year, instead of going to the beaches on vacation, my wife and I decided to tour West Virginia. We really enjoyed ourselves. There is so much to see. If you haven’t toured the state, I highly recommend you to do it on a vacation. It’s been a joy celebrating my birthday for so many years with the great state of West Virginia.
