Cougars’ King makes AAA All-State team

The West Virginia Class AAA All-State baseball team included Jefferson High sophomore infielder/pitcher Andrew King on the second team.

Receiving “special mention” were Jefferson High seniors A. J. Boyd (pitcher) and Anthony D’Amario (center fielder) as well Washington High’s Drew Hetzel (right fielder/pitcher) and Seth Campbell (catcher).

Receiving “honorable mention” was Jefferson High senior third baseman Andrew Grove.

The 15-player first team had pitchers Elijah Wellman (Spring Valley), Hunter Greco (Woodrow Wilson) and Matt Maiers (Hampshire), catcher Cannon Leone (Morgantown), infielders Jim Galusky (Preston County), Daniel Heliene (Hedgesville), Joey Mundy (Huntington) and Darrin Zombro (Musselman), outfielders Braxton Johnson (Parkersburg South), Shane Commodore (Morgantown) and Shane Ellis (Hampshire), and utility players Seth Kinker (Cabell Midland), Zack Minnick (Logan), Andrew Kowalo (Wheeling Park) and J. T. Rozoszewski (Hurricane).
