W.Va. radio host found dead at 60

CHARLESTON (AP) — West Virginia Public Broadcasting says one of its longtime on-air hosts has died.
George Walker was found dead in his home over the weekend. He was 60.
Details weren’t immediately released Monday. Executive Director Scott Finn says an autopsy will be performed.
Walker was the regular host of “All Things Considered,” the weekday evening news program on West Virginia Public Radio. He also produced “Music from the Mountains” for years until co-producer Joe Dobbs retired.
Finn says Walker was the consummate professional, and everyone relied on his expertise.
Walker had worked for West Virginia Public Broadcasting for almost 12 years. He’d previously worked for Bristol Broadcasting and V-100 Radio in Charleston.
He also ran Walker Productions, doing narrative and voice-over work for clients in Charleston, Nashville and Chicago.
