SHEPHERDSTOWN — Shepherd University has received approval to open an additional location in Martinsburg. The Martinsburg Center is anticipated to open June 16.
“With the formal approval of the Higher Learning Commission, Shepherd will provide working adults convenient opportunities to obtain bachelor’s and master’s degrees at its new center at 261 Aikens Center in Martinsburg,” said Shepherd President Suzanne Shipley. “Shepherd has a proven, 140-year track record for providing quality education, which we are bringing to our new Martinsburg Center operations.”
Initial degree programs offered include the Regents Bachelor of Arts, a degree-completion program that provides credit for work experience; the RN to BSN program; the MBA with concentrations in accounting, health care administration, public management and sport management; and graduate-level coursework in special education.
The Martinsburg Center is offering partnership opportunities to local businesses that will allow employees to take classes with savings up to 25 percent off the current tuition.
