Linked in: Paul Jackson, Mike Fox, William “Mickey” Jackson and Donnie Twyman were among the golfers who took part when Star Lodge No. 1 hosted the second-annual Martin Delany Golf Tournament May 3 at the Locust Hill Golf Course in Charles Town.  The tournament featured area golfers as well as players from Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Indiana and Ohio. The event began with a breakfast provided by Panera Bread and Chick-fil-A. Lunch was provided by the members of Star Lodge No. 1. Golfers had a chance to mix and mingle with other golfers before teeing off at 9 a.m.  Contests included longest drive, closest to the pin, and first-, second-  and third-place teams. First-place team members were Manuel Washington, Greg Foster and Cory Claytor. Claytor also won the longest drive and closest to the pin, and Morris Hosby won closest to the pin.
