Wendy Moseley, Trinity Episcopal Church Tuesday craft group coordinator, inspects a stitch on the Shepherdstown 250th Anniversary signature quilt in 2012. The work is set to go on display in Town Hall after a hanging ceremony at 10:15 a.m. Friday. The quilt features the names of 500 area residents and organizations as well as images of historic buildings and landmarks. It took more than a year to make the quilt and the finished product was presented Nov. 11, 2012, during the closing ceremony of the town’s anniversary celebration. The quilt will be kept in a special aluminum case constructed by Textile Preservation Associates Inc. of Ranson.
