GLENVILLE — Shepherd maintained its position in the North Division standings of the WVIAC when it posted 10-3 and 19-5 wins over host Glenville last Wednesday.
The Rams improved to 17-6 in the conference and still found only Seton Hill ahead in first place in the division standings.
A seven-run third inning keyed the 10-3 win. Brandon Coffey had a grand slam homer in the uprising that quickly erased a 2-0 lead the Pioneers had gained against starter and winner Bryan DiRosario. He was 1-0.
Michael Lott had three hits with Coffey and Mark McCormick each getting two hits. Chad Murphy homered and had three RBIs.
In the 19-5 win, Shepherd landed 18 hits, including a homer, triple and double by Kyle Porter.
Murphy was 3-for-6 with four runs scored and three RBIs, Porter was 3-for-6 with four runs scored and four RBIs, McCormick was 3-for-3 and both Coffey and Darius Jones had two hits.
Tyler Thomas was the winning pitcher, working five innings. He was 1-0.
