Patriots score freely for French

Ryan French’s complete game four-hitter was complimented by a pair of multi-run innings when Washington battered visiting Berkeley Springs, 10-1, on April 9.

French’s handcuffing of the Indians was helped because he issued no walks and fanned seven to help his defense.

The Patriots rallied for four runs in the second inning and added another five runs in the fifth.

Offensively, the Patriots had Hunter Weaver drive in three runs and hit a home run. Drew Hetzel collected two hits and scored two runs and Colin Gustines contribute a triple.

Washington was winning its third straight game and evened its record at 6-6.
