SHEPHERDSTOWN – HFI Wealth Management is opening a new office in the Virginia suburbs of D.C.
Rob Hoxton, the certified financial planner and CEO of the company, continues to operate his company from its original headquarters in Shepherdstown. The business also has an office in Winchester, Va.
The firm’s newest location is located at 1600 Tysons Blvd. in McLean.
“We are excited to continue to grow and serve our clientele in the communities where they live and work,” Hoxton said. “This new location will allow us to further attain our goal of providing outstanding service for our clients in the greater Washington, D.C., area.”
HFI Wealth Management, which opened its doors in 1992, employs financial advisers with advanced degrees and professional designations, such as Certified Financial Planner Practitioner, Certified Public Accountant, Master of Science in Financial Planning, Master of Science in Finance/Investments, Master of Business Administration, Accredited Investment Fiduciary, Professional Plan Consultant and Accredited Asset Management Specialist.
The company’s financial advisers have been recognized with numerous awards for outstanding work and Hoxton himself won election to the national Financial Planning Association board of directors.

He also is the founder of the Rural Financial Planning Project, based at Shepherd University.
Hoxton, who began his career in the financial services industry in 1986, is the only financial adviser from the state of West Virginia to be named to the Best Financial Advisors for Doctors list by Medical Economics magazine while Julia Connell, HFI’s senior wealth manager who works in the Winchester office, made the prestigious list for the state of Virginia.
