Governor’s portrait of Joe Manchin to be unveiled

CHARLESTON (AP) — A governor’s portrait of U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin will be unveiled next week at the state Capitol.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin will host the unveiling of the portrait at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Charleston. Painted by Larry Bruce Bishop, the portrait then will be placed in the Governor’s Reception Room.

Manchin served as governor from 2005 to 2010 before being elected to the U.S. Senate following the death of Robert C. Byrd.
