Early Eagles runs beat Pats

HEDGESVILLE — Scoring six runs in its first two turns gave Hedgesville the impetus to beat Washington, 7-5, in a girls softball game played last Wednesday night.

Molly Seibert had a two-RBI single in the first. Five Hedgesville hits led to a four-run second inning. Seibert drove in two more runs.

Washington scored the game’s next five runs.

Amber Curry had an RBI double. Christina Collins also drove in two runs. In a three-run fourth inning, Curry had another run-scoring double.

Brenna Haught gave the Lady Eagles a two-run lead with her inside-the-park home run.

Allison Sween pitched a complete game for the Lady Eagles.

Collins, Curry and Madison Dan all had two hits for the Patriots.
