Group seeks new members: The Gardeners Exchange Group is an informal network of area avid gardeners who share information, resources, expertise, labor, plants, and experiences through monthly meetings, garden visits and special events. Book donations needed: The Friends of South Jefferson Public Library is seeking donations of books on gardening, crafts, hobbies, and DIY for the April 13 sale. Books may be dropped off at the library in Summit Point.

Bus trips: The Jefferson County Council on Aging will host the following bus trips in 2013: Mount Vernon on May 7; “Noah” at Sights and Sounds Theater on May 15; W.Va. mine war tour on May 17 to 19; Maryland’s Eastern Shore on June 13 and 14; Hatfield & McCoy tour on June 20 to 22; “Ring of Fire” at Riverside Dinner Theater on July 3; Monticello on Sept. 21; fall scenic western railroad train ride on Oct. 16; “Seasonal Allergies” at Rainbow Dinner Theater on Nov. 6; “A Christmas Carol” at Dutch Apple Dinner Theater on Dec. 4. Class of 1978 seeks classmates: The Jefferson High School Class of 1978 is looking for former classmates. The 35th reunion is being planned for June 29 at the Charles Town Moose Lodge. Calling all campers: The Audubon Discovery Camp, a nature-oriented summer day camp for children in the Eastern Panhandle and Maryland, is now registering campers for its 2013 summer season. Plant fair: The annual plant fair sponsored by the Morgan County Master Gardeners will be held at Berkeley Springs State Park May 10 and 11. Items offered will include flowers, vegetable plants, herbs, shrubs, garden art, crafts and garden tools.
