Shepherd’s Bryan, Mercier are WVIAC scholar athletes
The WVIAC has named Justin Bryan (men’s basketball) and Kasey Mercier (volleyball) Senior Scholar-Athletes. The conference names a male and female senior athlete from each conference school.
The two Shepherd award winners must compile at least a 3.3 cumulative grade point average during their playing careers. Bryant graduated from Jefferson High and is an accounting major. Mercier is a sports communication/marketing major. Both were also named to the 2011-12 WVIAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll as Shepherd’s scholar-athletes and were selected as D2ADA Academic Achievement Award winners.
