CHARLES TOWN — A Pennsylvania man is in custody in connection with a robbery Thursday at the Shepherdstown Pharmacy.
According to police reports, Joshua Allen Armolt, 33, address unknown, was taken into custody Friday at an apartment building in Martinsburg.
The robbery at the pharmacy occurred around 10:21 a.m. Police said Armolt went into the pharmacy wearing a ski mask and asked for narcotics. When the pharmacist asked if he had a prescription, he pulled out what the clerk believed was a handgun. He left the scene with $1,455.50 of various narcotic pills and patches, police say.
According to the report, police received a tip that a vehicle matching the description of the one Armolt was driving was parked at an apartment complex on Hollida Lane in the Swan Pond area of Martinsburg. Armolt was apprehended and police found the gun and drugs in a backpack. The gun turned out to be a BB gun.
Armolt was booked into the Eastern Regional jail and bail was set at $250,000.
