WHEELING (AP) — A Wheeling man faces up to 25 years in prison for illegally exporting firearms to buyers in Canada and Israel.
U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld II said Monday that 25-year-old Michael Steven Frank pleaded guilty to conspiracy to export firearms and money laundering.
Ihlenfeld says Frank acquired two dozen firearms from gun dealers in the Ohio Valley and shipped them to buyers in the two countries in exchange for cash payments.
Under the plea agreement, Frank will forfeit the firearms.
He also faces a fine of up to $750,000 when sentenced.
