The Chick-fil-A restaurant in Ranson fetes employees Lauren Hall and Sarah Piper during an event at the store this month. Both women were selected as recipients of the chain’s $1,000 S. Truett Cathy Scholar Award. Hall and Piper were nominated by Bryan Ritter, operator of the Ranson Chick-fil-A. Both students have worked for Chick-fil-A since the restaurant opened four years ago. Piper is currently attending West Virginia University, while Hall has recently transferred to California Institute of Technology. Ritter said both have the potential to accomplish great things. The Chick-fil-A Leadership Scholarship Program has awarded more than $30 million in scholarships to 30,000 employees.
