Jefferson girls get season’s first win
STERLING PARK, Va. — After losing its first dozen games of the 2012-13 season, the Jefferson girls basketball team defeated host Park View, 52-48, on Saturday for its first win of the season.
The Lady Cougars, now 1-12 overall, received 11 points from Alana Baylor. The 11 points were Baylor’s season high point total.
Marissa Jones scored another nine points and grabbed eight rebounds. Danashia McDonald was able to add eight points and Dasia Taylor also chipped in with her eight points.
Park View was left with a 2-13 overall record.
