HEDGESVILLE — Domination in the first and second quarters gave homestanding Hedgesville a huge lead over winless Jefferson last Thursday when the Lady Eagles cruised to a 76-50 after moving to a commanding 50-23 lead by halftime.
Hedgesville totally owned the first quarter with its effective pressure defense, offensive rebounding, and effort. It was 28-8 after a quarter.
There was little change in the second quarter where the Lady Eagles scored another 22 points to send the lead out to 27 points by halftime.
Carly Elliott and Morgan Wolfe each scored 16 points for the winning Lady Eagles. Bianca Creamer added 12 points and Kristen Nunn had another 10 points. Marissa Jones led Jefferson with her 16 points.
