Besides the business leaders who attended the Dec. 14 celebration in the school library, Principal Debra Corbett also welcomed community members, school employees and Jefferson County Schools’ central office workers to the special annual event.
Said Corbett: “This is just our way of showing our appreciation for all of the support we receive from the city administration, the people of the community, the Central Office and especially our business partners, who do so much to help our school and our students.”
The school’s business partners include Jones Insurance, Pizza City; Boys’ and Girls’ Club, Long and Foster Real Estate, William H. Gordon Associates; State Farm Insurance agent Tammy Sirbaugh, the Ranson Police Department, the Jefferson County VFW’s Ladies Auxiliary No. 3522, the Jefferson County Extension Office, the Charles Town Kiwanis, Allstate insurance, BB&T, Great Wall Chinese restaurant, PetStyles and F.O.C.U.S.
Ranson Mayor David Hamill also attended the breakfast, welcoming guests and sharing how important the school is to the community. Guests also enjoyed a holiday concert from choral director Bonnie Myers and the fourth- and fifth-grade students in the Ranson Chorus.
