Greyhound swimmers defeat Jefferson, 92-85

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — The Shippensburg boys swim team won its first meet of the season to improve to 1-7 overall when it defeated Jefferson, 92-85. The Greyhounds won all but two of the 12 events held when Chris Dixon, Quinn Slattery and Pablo Delis all won two individual races. Delis also swam on two winning relay teams. Brian Wiercioch won the 200 IM for Jefferson and the 200 freestyle relay team also won.

The Shippensburg girls team posted a 118-62 win over the Lady Cougars by winning 11 of the 12 events held. Rachel Nye and Morgan Gerhart both won two individual races. Other event winners for the Shippensburg girls were Paige Ezell, Kaitlin Ridley, Maggie Anderson. Maggie Morehouse, and Augusta Gray.

Luisa Holland was Jefferson’s only event winner when she took first in the 100 breaststroke. Shippensburg won all three relays. The Greyhound girls evened their record at 4-4.
