Eight Patriots unbeaten in quad-match competition

Washington registered wrestling wins over Jefferson (65-12), Mercersburg Academy (53-18), and Hampshire (54-13) in a quad -match last Wednesday.

Jefferson posted a 42-36 win over Hampshire and fell to Mercersburg Academy (39-37) in its other two dual matches that evening.

Washington posted three wins in the quad match it hosted last week. The Patriots will soon defend their Region II title from 2012.

Washington had eight wrestlers go through the three duals with unbeaten 3-0 individual records.

Jefferson’s lone unbeaten record was turned in by Lane Harder. He was 3-0 and went through the evening pinning all three of his opponents.

The Patriots’ Ashby Heath recorded three pins at 220 pounds in going unbeaten through his evening’s matches.

Tyler Cross was also 3-0. And he had two pins as well as winning by a technical fall.

Dylan Ceravalo was another Patriot going 3-0. Ceravalo pinned all three of the wrestlers he defeated.
